Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers, kept current. Something missing? It's probably covered in the guides.
› What is the island code for Star Wars: Droid Tycoon?
The island code is 7865-8305-9184. Enter it in Fortnite's Discover search or the Island Code tab to play.
› Is Star Wars: Droid Tycoon free to play?
Yes. It's a free experience inside Fortnite — if you can play Fortnite, you can play Droid Tycoon at no extra cost.
› How many Rebirth levels are there?
23 — and since the June 9, 2026 update the requirements cycle through four paths, advancing one path per Super Rebirth (the developer confirmed the order is 1-2-3-4, where 1 is the original requirements). Credit costs stay the same on every path; only the required droids change. Paths 1 and 2 are fully tabled in our Progression guide.
› How do I get Upgrade Chips?
Sell Gold, Diamond, Rainbow, or Beskar droids — that's the main source (chips no longer come from missions). You can also pick them up around the map, but it's slow. Spend them at the Upgrade Station behind the Cantina, and don't forget the Pit Droid's free upgrade roll once every 24 hours.
› What's the fastest way to earn credits early?
Hit the Scrap Station — it outpays your starter droids by a wide margin. Then reinvest into your factory, and pick up extra credits from Cantina droid requests, quests, and defeating stormtroopers.
› What are the rarest droids?
The Mythics — BB-8, Mister Bones, and IG-11 Marshal — plus Beskar-variant droids, the top variant tier above Rainbow. Mythics were event-exclusive until the June 9, 2026 update; they're now also purchasable as Iconic Droids for 30 Nova Crystals each via Super Rebirth (BB-8 available now, the rest listed for a later date, alongside CB-23 — a new Legendary that isn't released yet). Mythics are Default-variant only.
› What is Super Rebirth?
A second prestige layer added June 9, 2026. It unlocks at Rebirth 12 (plus a Rainbow Legendary droid) and resets your entire factory — droids, rebirth rank, Upgrade Chips, blueprints, pickaxe level — in exchange for a permanent credit bonus and Nova Crystals, which you spend at the Nova Shop behind the Cantina on permanent upgrades and Iconic Droids. You keep your Droidex, Droidsmith level, cosmetics, and Flawless unlocks.
› How do I get Beskar droids?
Three ways: guaranteed Sandcrawler spawns (a countdown timer on top of the Sandcrawler shows the next one — every 20 minutes, one per player in the lobby) plus random spawns; upgrading a droid past Rainbow with Upgrade Chips or the free daily Pit Droid roll; or buying one straight off the trade row when it appears — Beskar droids are purchasable there. Beskar events boost spawn odds significantly.
› When do events happen?
Events typically run on weekends, and the format keeps evolving — past Mythic events have used 2-hour sessions, a 24-hour window, and timezone-spread 6-hour windows. They boost drop odds, rebirth rewards, or bring back event-exclusive droids — check our Events page for confirmed times.
› Do I lose my droids when I Rebirth?
Rebirth resets your factory progress in exchange for a permanent credit boost and new base areas. Specific droids at specific variants are required to qualify for each level — check the full requirements table in our Progression guide before you commit.
› How many players are in a lobby?
Up to 6. Lobby size matters more than you'd think: guaranteed Beskar spawns scale at one per player, so fuller lobbies spawn more Beskars — but with more competition for each one.
› Is this the official Droid Tycoon website?
No — this is an unofficial fan guide. We're not affiliated with Epic Games, Lucasfilm, or Disney. We just play the game and keep the numbers current.
