Super Rebirth Is Live: a Second Prestige Layer, Nova Crystals, and a Permanent Path Back to the Mythics

The mystery building behind the Cantina is solved: Super Rebirth is live (update v1.16), and it’s the biggest progression change since launch — a full second prestige layer sitting on top of the 23-level rebirth ladder. We’ve already run it twice; here’s how it works.

What it costs

Super Rebirth asks for Rebirth 12 plus a Rainbow Legendary droid. (That’s the requirement on our second run — first-run requirements may differ; we’re confirming.)

The in-game warning lays out the trade:

Trade in your progress for permanent rewards.

You reset: base progress, droids, currencies, rebirth rank, pickaxe level, blueprints.

You keep: Droidex, Droidsmith level, cosmetics, Flawless unlocks, Iconic Droid unlocks (repurchasable at the Iconic vendor).

So this is a real start-from-zero — droids gone, rebirth rank back to 0, chips and blueprints wiped. What you get back: a permanent credit bonus on everything you earn from then on, plus Nova Crystals, the new prestige currency.

Nova Crystal payouts

  • The payout depends entirely on your rebirth level when you pop — from 11 crystals at Rebirth 12 up to 121 at Rebirth 23, on an accelerating curve. The full payout table and Nova Shop price list are in the Super Rebirth guide.
  • Known issue: community reports say a current glitch is paying out half the intended crystals. If your payout looks low, that’s why — and if you’re sitting on a deep rebirth rank and can wait, holding until the payout is confirmed fixed protects your biggest run.

The Nova Shop

Next to the Super Rebirth station behind the Cantina is the Nova Shop, where Nova Crystals are spent. Four tabs:

  • Core — permanent account upgrades: max health, damage, credits, Flawless charm, movement speed, double daily quests, pickaxe mastery, Jawa bartering, and super crates.
  • Workshop — factory and crafting upgrades: lounge slot, Upgrade Chip scrap, scrap value, blueprint scrap, crafting speed, blueprint storage, collect all, blueprint vendor, and rebirth droid alert.
  • Cosmetic — a Nova Crystal base paint (three stages).
  • Iconic Droids — see below.

We’re still cataloging prices and effect sizes tab by tab — this page will grow as numbers are confirmed.

The Mythics are obtainable again

The event-exclusive Mythics now have an official category: Iconic Droids, each costing 30 Nova Crystals at the Iconic vendor:

  • BB-8 — available now
  • Mister Bones — listed “available at a later date”
  • IG-11 Marshal — listed “available at a later date”
  • CB-23 — brand new, first time seen, also listed for a later date (correction 2026-06-10: CB-23 is a Legendary, not a fourth Mythic, despite the Iconic-vendor listing — still unreleased)

If you missed a Mythic event, this is the permanent path back — and once unlocked, Iconic Droids survive future Super Rebirths (you repurchase them at the vendor rather than losing them for good).

Should you Super Rebirth?

Early read, treat as preliminary:

  • If fear is the only thing stopping you — go. The reset list looks brutal, but everything account-wide survives (Droidex, Droidsmith level, cosmetics, Flawless unlocks), and the whole system is built around coming back stronger. Holding at Rebirth 12+ out of nerves just delays the compounding.
  • Shop first, then pop. Open the Nova Shop before you Super Rebirth and price the upgrades you actually want — then aim to earn that many crystals before you commit. Popping blind wastes the run.
  • This is a multi-run system. You will not afford every upgrade and Iconic unlock in one go — plan on multiple Super Rebirths and pick a target per run.
  • Spend before you pop. Upgrade Chips, blueprints, and credits all reset — convert them into anything that persists (Flawless crafts for the permanent earnings boost, Droidex completion) before you commit.
  • The rebuild has tailwinds. The permanent credit bonus plus Nova Shop workshop upgrades (crafting speed, blueprint vendor, collect all) all push in the same direction — the climb back to Rebirth 12 shouldn’t be a from-scratch grind. We’re timing our second run now.
  • Iconic unlocks are the long game. At 30 crystals per droid, the vendor is the clearest sink — if you’re chasing the full Droidex, route your crystals there first.
  • The ladder cycles — dev-confirmed. There are four rebirth-requirement paths, advancing one per Super Rebirth (1→2→3→4, then back around; Path 1 = the original ladder). Same credit costs, different droids. All four paths are now fully mapped — all 23 levels each — in the Progression guide’s tabbed ladder and on every droid’s Glossary page.

Flawless Solved: +0.01x Total Earnings Per Unique Type

The Flawless mystery is solved — the official Flawless guide on the game’s subreddit confirms what the ✨ mark actually does:

  • A Flawless droid earns nothing extra itself — the payoff is account-wide.
  • The first Flawless of each unique droid type adds a permanent +0.01x to total base earnings — max +0.51x across all 51 craftable types (at the cap, 12k/sec becomes ~18k/sec).
  • Each Flawless type unlocks that droid’s Flawless effect in the cosmetics tab, at every tier.
  • The in-game Droidex tracks your Flawless types and current boost.
  • The devs also confirmed odds scale with the variant being built — Beskar gives the best chance. Full odds table and mechanics now live in our Droidex guide.

One clarification worth repeating: event Flawless boosts multiply the drop rate — the size varies by event (both +50% and 2x have run), so a +50% boost turns 1-in-100 into ~1-in-67, a 2x into 1-in-50. It’s never a 50/50 chance.

Rebirth Requirements Rebalanced (11+)

Requirements from Rebirth 11 onward were rebalanced on May 12 — the Progression guide reflects the current values.

Legendary droid credits-per-second were also buffed in recent patches (e.g. R7 base went from ~1.19k to 1.50k/s) — our Droidex carries the current numbers; many older guides still list pre-buff values.
