Beskar Droids

How to get Beskar droids in Star Wars: Droid Tycoon — Sandcrawler spawn timers, upgrade paths, and why Beskar is the new top of the ladder.

Updated June 5, 2026

What Beskar is

Beskar is the new top version tier, added in recent updates — the ladder now runs Base → Gold → Diamond → Rainbow → Beskar. A Beskar droid is the most upgraded form that droid can take, and the current endgame chase.

Beskar breaks the doubling pattern — and how hard it breaks it depends on rarity. Every earlier tier doubles the one below it (Rainbow = 8x Base); Beskar jumps ×1.5 over Rainbow for Commons/Rares, ×4.25 for Epics, and ×3 for Legendaries. A Beskar R7 earns 36k/s against 12k at Rainbow. The Epic anomaly is worth knowing: Epic Beskars get the single biggest tier jump in the game — full numbers in the Droidex.

The three ways to get one

1. Sandcrawler spawns

Beskar droids spawn at the Jawa Sandcrawler on a guaranteed timer — every 20 minutes. Look at the top of the Sandcrawler: there are two countdown timers — guaranteed Beskar every 20 minutes, guaranteed Rainbow every 5.

The guaranteed spawn scales with the lobby: one Beskar spawns per player in the game (lobbies run up to 6 players). That sets up a real tradeoff —

  • Public lobby: more players → more Beskars per guaranteed spawn, but everyone’s racing you to them
  • Private lobby: fewer spawns, but zero competition — every spawn is yours

A small private squad where everyone cooperates is arguably the best of both; a full public lobby is the most total Beskars if you trust your speed.

On top of the guaranteed spawns, Beskar and Rainbow droids can also spawn randomly at any time. You don’t have to stare at the Sandcrawler to catch them — any Diamond-or-above spawn is announced in the chat, including its rarity, so keep an eye on the feed while you work your base.

2. Upgrading

Like every version tier, Beskar can be reached by upgrading the tier below it:

  • Upgrade Chips at the Upgrade Station (behind the Cantina). Rainbow → Beskar costs 80 chips for a Common, 250 for a Rare, 5,000 for an Epic, and 12,000 for a Legendary. Bonus: building at Beskar gives the best Flawless odds in the game (1 in 100 — see the Droidex).
  • The free daily roll — the Pit Droid in the Cantina, once every 24 hours, gives a percentage chance at your equipped droid’s next tier. The odds scale with rarity and upgrade tier, so a Beskar roll on a Legendary is the longest shot in the game — and exactly why the free roll should always go there. A hit is worth 12,000 chips.

3. The final mission

Every completion of the final Astromech-area mission rolls 5% for a Beskar droid (15% Rainbow, 80% credits). It’s a slow drip, but it runs while you do everything else — keep it going permanently. Details in Strategies.

Beskar events

During Beskar events (typically evening/weekend windows — see Events), an additional guaranteed Beskar drop runs every 5 minutes — also one per player in the lobby, on top of the normal 20-minute timer. That’s roughly 5x the guaranteed Beskar rate for the duration of the window, before counting random spawns. If you’re chasing Beskar versions of specific droids, this is when to grind.

Beskar is the endgame key

Two reasons Beskar matters beyond raw income:

  • Rebirths 21–23 are gated entirely on Beskar droids — Epic Beskars (BB, Orb-Walker, Groundmech, AMP Walker, B1 Heavy, Proto-Roller) for 21–22, then Beskar Opti-STRK, Mono-WLKR, and R7 for the final level. See the full table.
  • A higher version satisfies any lower requirement — once a droid is Beskar, every rebirth requirement and Cantina request for that droid is permanently covered. For droids that repeat across the ladder, Beskar isn’t a luxury; it’s the efficient path.

Beskar checklist

  1. Note both Sandcrawler timers when you log in — never miss a guaranteed spawn while you’re on
  2. Watch chat for Diamond+ spawn announcements
  3. Free daily roll on your highest-value Beskar candidate
  4. Save chip dumps and long sessions for Beskar event windows
