Imperial Probe
Common BattleImperial Probe is a Common Battle droid in Star Wars: Droid Tycoon. Full buy cost, sell value, credits-per-second, and rebirth requirements at every variant.
Variants & economy
Buy / craft cost, the chips to upgrade into each tier, earnings, and what it sells back for. Sell chips double with BB-8 equipped.
| Variant | Buy / craft | Upgrade | Earns | Sell (credits) | Sell (chips) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Default | 5k | — | 6/s | 3.5k | — |
| Gold | 20k | 5 chips | 12/s | 14k | 4 |
| Diamond | 40k | 10 chips | 24/s | 28k | 7 |
| Rainbow | 60k | 15 chips | 48/s | 42k | 10 |
| Beskar | 80k | 80 chips | 72/s | 56k | 13 |
Each tier doubles the last; Beskar breaks the pattern (×1.5 over Rainbow for Commons/Rares, ×4.25 for Epics, ×3 for Legendaries). Credit sell value is ~70% of buy cost. Buy prices apply on the trade row — including Beskar, which can't be bought anywhere else. Numbers reflect the current balance patch.
Note: Common Rainbow prices follow a ×12-of-Default pattern confirmed in-game (ID10 and Mouse trade-row reads) — the community tracker mistakenly lists the ×16 Beskar cost there. Derived values are marked by the pattern — corrections land same-day.
Specialist placement
Imperial Probe is a Battle droid — put it to work in the Battle area for a free +10% to its credits. Most players leave droids scattered in the wrong sections and quietly lose that bonus.
Rebirth requirements
Since the June 9 update, requirements cycle through four paths, one per Super Rebirth (dev-confirmed: 1→2→3→4, then repeat) — all four are now mapped. Listed variant or higher — a higher variant always satisfies a lower-variant requirement.
Not required on any of the four paths — Imperial Probe is a pure income / collection pick.
